Electrical technician

We are looking for an Electrical Technician or a Senior Electrical Technician on behalf of our West Bromwich based client who are a leading manufacturer for the Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical and Speciality Chemical industries as well as many others. This Electrical Technician role is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. The ideal candidate will work as part of a highly skilled electrical engineering team and have experience as a qualified electrical fitter. The ideal candidate will have responsibility for the following: Electrical preventative and reactive maintenance work in an industrial environment. Electrical plant installation and modification work in an industrial environment. Statutory inspections. The use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems. The ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works. Work in accordance with the company safe systems of work and permit to work systems. Ideally have a good understanding of ATEX requirements. Qualifications, skills and experience: Educated to RQF level 3 (e.g. City Guilds level 3) in a practical Electrical discipline as a minimum. Ideally you would have a recognised Electrical apprenticeship. Ideally you have the 18th edition electrical wiring regulations. Ideally you would have a Compex (Ex01-04) (Ex05-06) qualification but this is not a necessity.Career development is possible with both internal and external training available. Salary GBP33,276 (normal grade) to GBP35,016 (senior grade). An additional payment for an electrical call-in rota system (min GBP1.6k pa for a 1 in 4 rota) will be added once appropriate site knowledge has been obtained plus 25 days paid holiday (and all UK Bank Holidays), a 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday 08:00am to 16:30pm.
