The Mechanical Fitter will need experience of fitting, assembly, stripping down, surveying and testing parts. The Mechanical Fitter Role: * Overhaul of mechanical equipment within a workshop environment. * Mechanical fitting, assembly, strip, survey, and test. * Read drawings, identify components, assemble and/or repair mechanical equipment. * Maintain good quality and efficiency. * Flexibility of skills to carry out testing, basic wiring, and mechanical fitting. * Maintain good housekeeping, awareness of and adherence to health and safety requirements. * Ability to complete technical documentation as work is progresses. * To perform other duties as assigned from time to time. The Mechanical Fitter: * Experienced Mechanical Fitter form a workshop environment or similar, preferably with skills on rotating equipment. * Ability to meet strict quality guidelines. * Preferably apprentice trained and/or hold a relevant qualification. * A working knowledge of safety systems such as Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments will be advantageous. * Experience of Lean Manufacturing principals such as 5s and knowledge of the 7 wastes would be beneficial, but not crucial
