HSEQ OFFICER Sheffield Based Salary GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 Adept Resourcing are pleased to be working with a successful Sheffield based metals business as they look to recruit a Health, Safety and Environmental Officer to work from their head office. About The role: Implementation and oversight of HSEQ across the business, Facilitate continuous improvement in all aspects of HSEQ and operational performance. Provide support and assistance to the operational team. * Have day to day responsibility for achieving high standards of H S, Environmental, Quality and Operations required within the business. * Monitor health, safety, and environmental regulations, and ensure the company #39;s compliance. * Liaise with regulatory bodies, participate in inspections, and maintain all necessary permits and licenses * Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess compliance with applicable regulations, and evaluate the effectiveness of existing safety and environmental programs. * Prepare reports and communicate findings to senior management * Identify potential HSE risks and hazards within the workplace * Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness throughout the organization. * Incident investigation and reporting * Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, near misses, and environmental spills. * Identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and ensure timely reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements * Evaluate the HSE performance of contractors and suppliers. * Provide inductions to new staff visitors and contractors. * Assist with the maintenance of ISO 9001, 14001 45001 Kitemark accreditations. The person will: * Be able to take on a range of different tasks * Have the ability to work as part of a team, quickly and efficiently to set deadlines. * Relevant professional certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
