Neuro occupational therapist

Blackstone Recruitment are working with a Private charity who are recruiting a Senior Occupational Therapist to join their inpatient team based in Surrey. This is a Permanent job to start ASAP. Job Summary The client is for Care and Rehabilitation in a neuro rehabilitation centre for adults. The post holder will have the wonderful opportunity to provide neurorehabilitation to clients with acquired brain injury, stroke and other neurological conditions within a large multidisciplinary team. Whilst you will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of clients, this will be under the direction of your clinical supervisor the wider Occupational therapy team. You will liaise with other members of the team to ensure continuity and consistency regarding clients rsquo; management. THE OPPORTUNITY * This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced MDT where you will be managing your own neurological clinical caseload and working in both individual and group settings on clients rsquo; goals using functional and impairment-based treatment methods. * You will assess, plan and carry out individual Occupational Therapy treatment programmes within the Centre and in the community. We have a variety of living environments including bedsits and independent living flats. You will carry out access and home visits with support as appropriate, including liaising with social services, care agencies and relatives. * There will be the opportunity to develop skills in communicating with clients with a range of physical, cognitive, and communication difficulties. Providing feedback and advice is a key part of the role, to clients and other members of the multi-disciplinary team regarding the assessment and treatment of a client rsquo;s physical, functional, cognitive, sensory and perceptual abilities.
