Proposed start date: ASAP Sector: Healthcare Working environment: Hospital Band: 2 Pay Rates: Monday to Friday GBP13.30 per hour paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour Saturday GBP17.00 per hour paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour Sunday GBP21.10 per hour paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour Shifts: * Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:00 * Monday to Friday 16:00 to 20:00 * Saturday Sunday 07:00 to 15:00 * Saturday Sunday 16:00 to 20:00 Summary: To provide a catering service to the patients of the Hospital Trust. Duties (but not limited to) * To ensure that a high standard of customer care is maintained at all times, including adherence to the Trust #39;s professional appearance policy * Liaise on a daily basis with the patients and family members regarding meal preferences and appetite, taking into account any cultural and religious choices * Discuss with the nursing staff patients #39; treatment plans in order to determine their effect on individual appetite / dietary requirements * Meet with the catering manager to plan meal requirements * Collate information off the menu cards and give this information to designated staff on the ward * Serve beverages and meals, ensuring patients are assisted with positioning of their meal and access to cutlery and condiments * Distribute meals, ensuring that the patient #39;s tray is checked against their request and all items are correct, with the appropriate condiments available * Liaise with the catering department regarding new patients #39; menus and dietary requests * Manage snacks for patients, including snacks required off the ward e.g. for patients attending appointments at a different location, ensuring the snack is appropriate to the patient #39;s needs (soft, pureed, diabetic etc.)
