Glassblower (Technical / Scientific) GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 + Training + Private Health Scheme + Mon-Fri + Company Events + DIS Ilford Are you a Glassblower looking to work for a market leading manufacturer of cutting edge analytical equipment which has been established for over 100 years, where you will be provided with excellent technical training to ensure you are highly skilled, while retaining a great work / life balance? On offer is an opportunity to work for a global company which supplies into the Pharmaceutical industry, where you will receive exceptional training to broaden your technical skills within a long standing company that provides genuine job security. In this role you will be manufacturing and glass forming whilst being able to work from detailed technical drawings and sketches. You will be performing this work using glass lathes or similar machines with an element of free hand glassblowing. Once proficient, the role could also include the training and support of more junior team members. This role would suit a glassblower with a production background looking to work in a diverse and varied role, within a fast paced team environment where your attention to detail is vital. The Role: Variety of glass forming work, using glass lathes and / or similar machines and an element of freehand glassblowing Hand finish to tight quality control specifications Apply knowledge and expertise to assess and solve problems Maintain a safe work environment following all protocol and safety standards Maintain all tools and equipment Work with materials such as Quartz and Pyrex Potential to train / mentor more junior members of staff The Person: Glassblower, with a background working in a production environment Able to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing instructions If you #39;re interested in this role, click #39;apply now #39; to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.
