Accounts assistant

Job Title: Accounts Assistant / Senior Bookkeeper Location: Oldbury (Hybrid Working) Pay Rates: GBP16 - GBP18 per hour dependent on experience Shift Patterns: Days (Flexible for 30 hours per week) Oliver Rae is working with a small family-run business to fulfill their Accounts Assistant position. This is an exciting new role that has recently been created and we are looking for someone with a wealth of experience In Accounts, Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Receivable, Payroll, and Ledger Duties. Responsibilities: Bank reconciliations. Processing sales ledger invoices. Credit Card reconciliations. Processing purchase ledger invoices. Liaising with suppliers to request invoices, confirm payments and answer queries. Setting up bank transactions such as transfers and payments for expense claims and one-off purchases. Preparation of VAT returns. Preparation of monthly payroll, submissions to HMRC and Nest Pensions. Liaising with customers to chase payments and answer queries. Weekly subcontractor payments (CIS), payment to HMRC. Monthly management accounts. Information to prepare P11d #39;s to accountants. Preparing end of year accounts for accountant. Qualification/experience: Must have experience of Sage Accounts 50 and Sage 50 Payroll. AAT Qualifications are preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Knowledge of relevant accounting principles. Benefits and working hours: Working hours will be flexible but the company opens from 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday. Permanently employed directly by the business.
