Talented Assistant Project Manager required on a permanent basis We are working alongside a successful North London based building main contractor, with a turnover last year of GBP175m and expected turnover this year of GBP230m+. Our client #39;s business model is extremely well managed, with a reputation for producing a quality project on time and budget, which results in a large amount of repeat business. They have a prime residential new build in the Loughton of Essex. Phase one is due for completion (shell and core package), with Phase 2 ready to commence. Phase 2, value GBP20m, will involve the fit out of the property to an opulent finish. We are trying to source an Assistant Project Manager with ideally relevant experience to successfully bring in the second phase. The role The Assistant Project Manager will work alongside the Project Director with full responsibility for the construction programme, administration / documentation of the scheme and contribute at the highest level with regards to responsibility for delivery of the project safely, on time and to the client rsquo;s satisfaction. The Assistant Project Manager will ensure that programme is kept up to date during the project, all production issues implemented and maintained, whilst building a close relationship with the client. The Assistant Project Manager will drive and motivate the site team to create the best possible finishes. Requirements Our client is looking for an Assistant Project Manager with good programming / planning experience, who can communicate well and can keep control of the flow of information on site. The Assistant Project Manager will have a background in Construction and an excellent understanding of bringing in a project to time, quality and budget. Other pre requisites are: Main or subcontracting contracting background, with an eye for detail. Experience of managing expensive / opulent finishes as well running GBPmulti-million schemes. Assistant Project Manager must have experience of formulating precise short term programmes Strong management and communication skills Commercially and technically competent Comfortable with managing meetings and dealing with the client and their representatives.
