Document controller

Our client Scottish Power are currently recruiting for a Document Controller to join the team on a contract basis based in Glasgow City Centre. This will be a hybrid role so 2/3 days a weke in the office. Job Purpose Statement Support Scottish Power rsquo;s Green Hydrogen team with the development and delivery of projects that sit within their business rsquo;s portfolio. The role holder will assist with key document control responsibilities including project setup as well as supporting the onboarding and training of new staff. The role holder will become a recognised super user of the hydrogen document management system (DMS). Responsibilities bull;Assist with the continued development of a dedicated SP hydrogen quality management system bull;DMS experts, Manage and co-ordinate access and permission rights to the systems for Internal and external users. bull;Collate and review contractor documentation, identify missing information and liaise with CM/EMP to ensure correct information available throughout the various stages of the project. bull;Technical review of As-Built Drawings, register and upload to DMS. bull;Review tender submissions, ensuring correct templates and identifications are being used. bull;Ensure tender documentation is uploaded onto IBUY and issued to procurement. bull;Provide support to the Engineering department, Scanning, Stamping P C Drawings. bull;Support, monitor and review suppliers and contractor documentation. bull;Undertake training sessions on Document Management Systems with staff and external contractors. bull;Attend project Kick off and scheme meetings. bull;Project inspections / Audits (IAuditor) bull;Maintain project databases, engineering document lists, drawing registers and transmittals. bull;Administration of records, drawings, and documents in accordance with the quality management system and other specifications. bull;Establish and maintain project drawings registers and workbooks. bull;Coordinate project final file bull;Maintain DM and Codification user guides for General and Pilot project system. Requirements We are looking for individuals with good inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to form effective working relationships with other individuals, departments, and businesses. To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate as a minimum: middot;HNC or equivalent in business discipline/related area and/or previous Document Control experience middot;Significant experience of Projectwise/ACC/Autodesk Vault systems middot;Significant experience in final file / Project handover process middot;Experience in a Document Control role for major construction or utility construction projects middot;Ability to multitask and work efficiently to meet deadlines middot;High degree of IT literacy middot;Experience in ISO 9001, 14001 AND 45001 middot;Strong communication skills For more info please email (url removed)
