Independent chair safeguarding reviewing team

We are looking to recruit a Independent Chair in the Safeguarding Reviewing Team within Hackney. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels. The responsibilities of the Social Worker includes: Hackney #39;s Children and Families Service is looking for an Independent Chair to undertake a busy role within the Safeguarding and Reviewing Service. This role provides an opportunity to further shape the quality assurance and practice across child protection and looked after children #39;s services. Independent Chairs chair Child Protection Conferences, Looked After Child Reviews, Fostering Annual Reviews and lead safeguarding consultations and initial multi-agency planning meetings for example in relation to child sexual exploitation and harmful sexual behaviour. Provide a clear and accurate assessment of a child and his/her family #39;s needs in line with statutory guidance. Provide focused and purposeful social work interventions with explicit aims and objectives about desired outcomes within the context of managing risk to children. To ideal candidate will have: Social Work England registration Eligibility to work in the UK Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DipSW/CQSW/MSc/BA) Working with Ackerman Pierce you will be guaranteed weekly payment and access to continued profession development, including a dedicated consultant to support you through the interview and on boarding process.
