Procurement director

We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic Procurement Director t in the packaging sector. As the Procurement Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize costs, ensure quality, and drive innovation in the sourcing and procurement of packaging materials. Responsibilities: 1. Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with the company #39;s goals and objectives in the packaging sector. 2. Lead a team of procurement professionals to source packaging materials, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships effectively. 3. Identify cost-saving opportunities, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement in the procurement process. 4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities. 5. Analyze market trends, monitor supplier performance, and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure a reliable and sustainable source of packaging materials. 6. Drive supplier diversity initiatives, sustainability efforts, and innovation in packaging materials and technologies. 7. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure procurement performance, track savings, and report progress to senior management. Requirements: 1. Bachelor #39;s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master #39;s degree or CSCP/CPSM certification is a plus. 2. Proven track record of success in procurement leadership roles within the packaging sector, with at least X years of experience. 3. Strong negotiation skills, contract management expertise, and knowledge of sourcing strategies in the packaging industry. 4. Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing procurement team. 5. Strategic thinker with the ability to align procurement activities with business objectives and market dynamics. 6. Experience working with ERP systems, procurement software, and data analytics tools. 7. Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
