They welcome rabbits and small furries, drawing on their team #39;s extensive experience and ongoing learning to provide the best care possible. Additionally, they collaborate with Herbie Hedgehog Rescue, caring for wild hedgehogs, making prickly patients a regular for them. The veterinary nurse holds certificates in orthopaedics and ophthalmology, ensuring a high standard of care. They boast state-of-the-art equipment, including dental x-ray, ultrasound, internal lab facilities, tonometer, slit lamps, and more, to provide the best possible care to their patients. About the Role: They are open to considering flexible hours to accommodate your schedule. Shifts vary between 8:30 am ndash; 5:00 pm and 11:00 am ndash; 7:30 pm throughout the week, ensuring flexibility and work-life balance. The Saturday rotation is 1:5 Saturday rotations from 8:30 am ndash; 5:00 pm, with the support of a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) to assist you. A Day in the Life of their RVN Team: In their veterinary practice, your role in kennels involves managing a diverse inpatient caseload, catering to small furries and hedgehogs, where you #39;ll devise and implement tailored care plans for each patient. The veterinary nurse plays a pivotal role in overseeing the care of hospitalised animals and their recovery post-procedures, taking on significant leadership roles in inpatient care. You #39;ll also assist skilled veterinary surgeons during operations, ranging from routine neutering to complex soft tissue, orthopaedic, and ophthalmic surgeries. Moreover, the team benefits from the expertise of a visiting peripatetic surgeon. On prep shifts, you #39;ll engage in various tasks, including theatre circulating, aiding in consultations and kennel care, processing lab samples, and organizing surgical kits. During consults, you #39;ll directly interact with valued clients and their pets, providing a broad spectrum of services such as weight checks, medication administration, and post-operative assessments, while also managing stock orders to uphold the seamless operation of their practice.
