Business development manager

Agenda are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a leading family run business in the biotechnology industry. The role will suit a driven individual who is passionate about building relationships and supporting the business to achieve their goals. The client has been a leader in the biomedical equipment industry since 2011 and passionate about manufacturing, distributing, and servicing a wide range of biomedical equipment. Their goal is to provide top quality products, ensuring timely deliveries and earning trust. Basic Requirements: * Confident, people focused and an excellent communicator and presenter * Proven proactive can do attitude with a great work ethic * Excellent organisational skills * Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and written * Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally * Excellent IT skills in all Microsoft packages * Experience in the Life Science industry Duties and Responsibilities: * Responsible for building a strong, sustainable pipeline and achieving set sales targets * Identify and analyse business opportunities, and formulate plans to capture opportunities * Develop and maintain key business relationships across the industry * Understand customer needs and create customised proposals * Contact prospective customer/partner companies to further explore business opportunities and manage negotiations * Participate in conferences and networking events, and organise targeted seminars and promotional events * Proactively manage sales administration process and maintain accuracy of client relationship management database * Keep up to date with Industry news ndash; i.e. competition, customer, legal etc * All other reasonable activities requested by the Directors in line with the needs of the business Agenda and its clients only recruit people who are passionate about animal care and welfare, people with integrity who are honest and trustworthy and who have a great work ethic.
