Quality inspector electrical

Job title: Quality Inspector (Electrical) Job type: Contract Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance Duration: 12 months Pay rate: Up to GBP60 an hour Umbrella / GBP45.27 an hour PAYE Location: Rosyth Hours of work: 37 hours per week Focussed on providing high quality EC I inspection services on behalf of the Stage 2 lsquo;collaborative rsquo; project team and supporting the Stage 2 Quality Manager in ensuring that all CE I related SDP Stage 2 works are carried out in accordance with the client rsquo;s, regulatory and legislative requirements and that the products and systems meet design intent. bull; Proactively support and advise the SDP Stage 2 Project on CE I quality matters. bull; Attend Quality, Engineering and Start-Up meetings with contractors / suppliers, as required. bull; Approval of Suppliers and Contractors quality related documents including the review and approval of Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans to ensure that the activities provide the evidential trail that design intent will be met. bull; Ensuring processes are in place to prevent Counterfeit, Foreign and Suspect Items entering the SDP supply chain. bull; Inspection at the contractor rsquo;s / supplier rsquo;s premises. bull; Ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated and in date. bull; Receipt inspection of equipment and ancillaries at the Rosyth site. bull; Inspection of electrical installation work. bull; Completion of Inspection and Check Lists / Certificates. bull; Sign-off of Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans. bull; Review of Lifetime Records (CE I) bull; Contribute to Lessons learnt. bull; Contribute to the performance assessment of contractors and suppliers. bull; Contribute to the performance assessment of SDP. bull; To assist the SDP Stage 2 Quality Manager in ensuring that any quality non-conformances / quality issues are managed and closed out. bull; Willing to travel to supplier locations / sites throughout the UK and occasionally overseas. Essential: bull; 3 years + experience as a CE I Inspector bull; Recognised qualifications such as a degree in electrical engineering and / or HNC or HND with relevant experience. bull; Certified to Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
