High Voltage Engineer About the project The Visual Impact Provision project in Eryri National Park aims to reduce the visual impact of National Grid rsquo;s overhead line across the Dwyryd Estuary from Minffordd to Llandecwyn. Stakeholders have agreed that the best way to achieve this is to remove a section of this overhead line and replace it with electricity cables buried in a tunnel underground. It represents a major opportunity to conserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife and environmental heritage of this precious landscape of Eryri. The role Candidates with have previous National Grid-related project experience to manage a large subcontractor that is responsible for the cabling in the tunnel. The candidate will manage the design of the HV system and following completion of the design act as project manager for the cable installations and the works we are required to do in the substations. To lead and manage the High Voltage (HV) Cable and HV Plant subcontractors ( in delivering the works and ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements. To manage the HV designer and sub contractor design activities and deliverables to ensure they are completed in line with the agreed programme and Project requirements. To be the technical lead for the HV works on the project Ensure both input and output deliverables for the design are tracked and reported to the Project Director and Engineering Manager as required. To manage the MEP designer and sub contractor design activities and deliverables to ensure they are completed in line with the agreed programme and Project requirements. PLEASE NOTE, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK ON SITE MONDAY - FRIDAY. SUBSITANCE SUPPORT WILL BE PROVIDED
