Senior Civil Engineer Location: Leeds Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP55,000 A highly sought-after opportunity to work with one of the UK rsquo;s most respected and well-known multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultants. Having been established for over 50 years they pride themselves on the quality of their work and have established a reputation for their high-quality projects from conception through to completion within the industrial, commercial, residential and education sectors. Due to the continuous growth, they have seen recently they have identified the need for a new Senior Civil Engineer to help the existing team in Leeds with the new projects they have taken on. The successful candidate should be Chartered or near Chartered with extensive experience working on the development of both residential and industrial infrastructure, as well as a strong working knowledge of earthworks; drainage and building infrastructure interfaces. This is a design lead role and not a project management role. The Senior Civil Engineer Duties bull; The production of infrastructure design packages. bull; Client contact for technical and design matters. bull; Maintaining and developing client relationships. bull; Technical management of junior project staff. bull; Provide support in bid preparation and the work winning process. bull; Providing support and integration to other design teams. bull; Undertake design reviews and checking. bull; Design of projects from the concept stage through to the construction stage bull; Preparing and reviewing technical reports and specifications bull; Complying with Health and Safety and CDM Regulations bull; Support in the management and development of team members The Senior Civil Engineer Requirements bull; You will have proven experience in a similar design consultancy, with demonstrable knowledge of varied infrastructure design skills (drainage and public realm). bull; Excellent technical aptitude is essential, experience of working within a BIM environment and on site is desirable. bull; You have diverse and in-depth knowledge of sustainable drainage design which supplemented with use of various civil engineering software. bull; You will have relevant experience and good knowledge of the following areas of civil engineering design: bull; Drainage schemes associated with buildings, highways, public realm and landscape projects. bull; Highway and pavement design associated with building projects. bull; Undertaking of designs for section 38, 278 and 104 agreements bull; Ground modelling * Masterplanning * Assessment and management of flood risk and reducing flood risk. bull; Report writing bull; You will have a good knowledge of civil engineering construction principles and standards and will be confident in your knowledge of relevant design standards and legislation. bull; You will have strong practical knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroDrainage and used Civil 3D for ground modelling, road and drainage design. bull; Work on your own initiative as well as with colleagues and the wider team on joint projects when required. bull; Be capable and willing to follow procedures. bull; Have excellent communication skills, able to communicate both verbally and in writing with a variety of personnel WHAT TO DO NEXT: If you are interested in this Senior Civil Engineer opportunity in Leeds, then please click on the link to apply.
