Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM UK Ireland is recruiting an IT Portfolio PMO Manager. The position will involve a mixture of working from home, and any UK I Regional office location. Occasional travel will be required across the UK. This role will fulfil a vital hands-on role managing multiple complex concurrent IT projects within BAM IT rsquo;s portfolio and project management team across the UK I division. This role is working Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4.45pm, 36.25 hours a week. Your mission bull; Manage the PMO, embed and ensure that all project and programme management processes and procedures are beneficial, adhered to in line with business and IT requirements bull; Define and maintain the portfolio lifecycle, ensuring it aligns with the strategic objectives bull; Maintain a view of IT change activity across the division with a clear understanding of interdependencies and opportunities bull; Monitor portfolio, programme and project performance, reviews and report on progress to stakeholders on a regular basis bull; Manage risks and issues, ensuring that appropriate action is taken to mitigate any potential problems bull; Manage budgets and ensure that projects are delivered within budget bull; Build and maintain the relationship between the IT PMO and the wider IT delivery services to support the service delivery to our organisation. bull; Act as confidante, coach and constructive challenger to support the wider IT PMO team, leaders and managers in the delivery of our IT projects bull; Be accountable for a planned resourcing model bull; Provide leadership and guidance to project managers and teams, ensuring that they have the necessary resource, budgets and support to delivery projects successfully bull; Management of people and career development and progression Who are we looking for? bull; Previous experience working in PMO management and portfolio management bull; Excellent knowledge of project management processes and procedures bull; Leadership and people management skills bull; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills bull; Analytical and problem solving skills bull; Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously bull; Excellent attention to detail bull; MSP, MoP, P30 would be beneficial for the role. bull;You will be a proven leader with significant insight and experience of planning and delivering IT change in a multidiscipline organisation, including the delivery of successful programmes and projects and their associated benefits to demonstrate return on investment. bull; You will be capable of solving complex problems and have experience of working collaboratively with key senior stakeholders. bull; With a highly developed networking, communication and influencing skills, you will have real strength in your ability to forge effective and influential working relationships at all levels and have the ability to influence a range or internal and external stakeholders. bull; You will be competent and confident in preparing and presenting reports and information to senior members of the organisation and have demonstrable experience of budgetary planning and management. bull; You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, in particular, Project Online. bull; Your credibility as a the IT Portfolio PMO Manager will be critical to your success in this role; you will therefore be able to demonstrate how you combine your strong professional knowledge and insight, with personal credibility and flair, in order to engage colleagues and stakeholders through significant and often complex IT change.
