Project support administrator

We support our clients across five key sectors: Aerospace Defence; Nuclear; Power Renewable Energy; Industrial Process and Infrastructure Transportation. We are recruiting for a Project Support Administrator to be based within our busy head office. The successful candidate will be providing centralised project and commercial support to a multi-disciplined engineering team working on a variety of engineering products and systems. The responsibilities within this role include: * Provide support to the Commercial Team to complete a variety of regular administration duties as well as ad-hoc tasks as required. * Follow the Commercial Process to ensure all projects are compliant to audit standards. * Support the Commercial Team Leader with the lsquo;month end rsquo; invoicing process and work with the Engineering Project Managers to resolve any invoicing queries that arise. * Collate weekly timesheets into weekly spend reports for multiple projects. * Responsible for maintaining the Commercial Project Folder for each project and ensuring all project documentation is saved and stored correctly. * Responsible for issuing the weekly payroll report for all workers, this involves updating project lists, chasing missing timesheets and timesheet approvals. * Responsible for collating monthly expenses for the business and ensuring booking codes are accurate. * Ensure the Project Information Management System is accurate and up to date for all live projects. * Provide ad-hoc support to Engineering Project Managers as required for project reporting activities. * Generate and maintain hourly spend trackers / commercial trackers for larger projects as required. * Support commercial team meetings as required. * Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with other areas of the business on continuous improvement projects. * Support Commercial Team Leader with additional tasks as required. * Provide holiday / sick cover for other team members to ensure all commercial team responsibilities are maintained. The successful individual will have the below skills and/or qualifications: * Minimum grade 5/C in English and Mathematics level 2. * An analytical mindset with excellent mathematical ability * Advanced excel skills, as well as good knowledge of the rest of the Microsoft Office suite. * Strong verbal and written and communication skills. * A team player, with good collaboration skills.
