Head of Transport Highways. Perm. Up to GBP79K bens - Manchester - Hybrid working. Do you have experience in Contracts Management? Are you an experienced in managing financial budgets for Highways and Transport projects? If so, look no further! I am recruiting for a seasoned leader to manage and lead a variety of portfolios within Highways and Transportation. You will be responsible for strategically developing the operational maintenance of agreed Council contracts on projects. Work with partners to ensure deliverables are met and maintained. Manage a wide service consisting of transport planning, highways, traffic, maintenance, and greenspace projects. Lead the liaison with external government bodies., as well as manage and support the team to identify and highlight further opportunities for service and process improvements. What they are looking for: * Demonstrable experience of managing large scale complex contracts to deliver efficient services. * Prior experience in management of the delivery of highways capital programmes and greenspace operational services. * Commercial and financial acumen with demonstrable experience of successful financial management including capturing savings and cost-effective approaches in a contract. * Prior experience of working with a variety of stakeholders; demonstrating the ability to mitigate and resolve conflict to achieve positive outcomes. * Experience of working within the Public Sector with an understanding of government legislation.
