Trainee health safety advisor

This role will be working on behalf of a well established Construction Company. They are a growing business and due to increased workload have an excellent opportunity for someone to come on board and learn the Health Safety Advisor role. This position will accommodate career progression within this sector and an excellent starting package. My client (Health Safety Manager) is looking to recruit an individual to come in and shadow them, any Health Safety knowledge or experience of construction sites would be beneficial. I am looking to speak to individuals who have: * Great communications skills * Confident in dealing with people * Able to work independently * Good administration skills * Have a full driving license (MUST) * Located in and around the Leicester area In this role once you are trained up and confident you will be expected to carry out Health Safey Inspections on construction sites. Prepare and fulfil internal procedures, paperwork, reports, admin duties - to coincide with producing risk reports. All of which can be learnt on the job. What is essential is someone that can engage with individuals and isn #39;t afraid to ask questions. You will need to be resilient and have attention to detail. You will be engaging with Site Managers, Supervisors, Site Foreman when attending construction sites. You will need to be accountable for your time as once fully trained up you will be expected to carry out daily site visits and will be working independently. Ideally for this role you will hold a NEBOSH Certificate or working towards one. Alternatively this is something that you will need to be onboard with attaining as it #39;s a must within this industry. My client would look at individuals with an IOSH Managing Safely. If you have an understanding of the H S Document #39;HSG47 Document #39; this would be hugely beneficial in this position. Competitive starting salary, with Company Car and Fuel Card.
