Assistant branch manager builders merchants

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Branch Manager to join their well-established client in Hanwell. This is a full-time permanent role, the successful candidate will come from a builders merchant background and would have worked in an Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager or Trade Counter Supervisor role previously. The Working Hours Are: Monday to Friday 07:00am to 4:30pm 1 Saturday on 1 off 07:00am to 11:30am Salary: GBP32k to GBP35k per annum This role involves: middot; Provide full support for the Branch Manager and take on the role of Branch Manager in their absence. middot; Provide our customers with a knowledgeable, friendly and dependable service at the same time optimising branch sales and profit middot; To efficiently work as part of a team and that our customer expectations are not just met but exceeded middot; Build effective relationships with customers in order to understand their requirements thus ensuring that the correct products are supplied middot; Use initiative to identify sales opportunities and offer advice and solutions to customers middot; Maintain a clean and efficiently merchandised counter area in line with Company Policy middot; Ensure that company policies are followed at all times when producing paperwork associated with sales middot; Liaise with suppliers and other branches, departments where necessary middot; Support the Branch Manager and colleagues in working as a team to ensure the branch operates efficiently and effectively within Company Policy middot; Always ensure a tidy working environment in line with Health Safety Guidelines middot; Perform any other duties including stock-taking, placing orders with suppliers, contacting customers etc as required by the Company Key Relationships: middot; Branch Manager middot; Assistant Manager middot; Customers middot; Other Employees middot; Suppliers To be considered for this role you must have / be: middot; previously worked within a builders merchant environment in a Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor position middot; ambitious and driven to support and grow the branch middot; a positive outlook middot; fluent English speaking, reading and writing middot; willing to learn new skills middot; able to commute to Feltham middot; innovative and an fresh open mind If you would like further information on this role then please contact Jack Ibbotson in our Watford office on (phone number removed) or (url removed)
