In-House Paralegal (Contract) Central Edinburgh-based | hybrid working available up to 2 days per week with 3 days in office Full Time | 35 hours per week | Monday to Friday Contract role until the end of August 2024 Pay rate up to GBP20.00 per hour depending on skills relevant experience Search Consultancy are currently working with an Edinburgh based not-for-profit client to recruit an experienced Paralegal who will be responsible for providing support to the company #39;s Legal Department with a particular focus on property matters. Duties involved in this role will include: * Assisting with the legal property work carried out by the department with the support guidance of the solicitors * Working on a variety of property matters including processing legal reports, submitting advance notices, submitting applications to Registers of Scotland, dealing with LBTT and post-completion matters preparing settlements * Providing general administrative and secretarial support including handling confidential internal and external correspondence and telephone calls, preparing legal documents, forms, reports and correspondence typing from digital dictation * Preparing and issuing deeds for the Solicitor * Liaising with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator * Dealing with the general administrative work delegated to the department In order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include: * Previous experience within a Paralegal role with exposure to property matters such as the above - this experience is essential * An understanding working knowledge of Scottish Property Law * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Excellent administration, organisation time management skills, with the ability to prioritise complete a busy workload effectively * Solid IT Skills including the full MS Office suite If this is the role for you, apply now!
