Project engineer estimating bidding

Role: Project Engineer (Estimating Bidding) Location: Reading Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP45,000 + Benefits A leading designer and manufacturer of complex structures for the construction and architectural markets is currently looking for a Project Engineer to join their team. Experience within either architectural / construction estimating or engineering / manufacturing estimating would be preferred, however full training will be provided. Key function of the role: To service the international markets with prices in an accurate and timely manner. Maximising profit within every opportunity, considering the commercial strengths and weaknesses. Accurate costing and recording useful data for the business. The responsibilities of the Project Engineer are: Carry out material take offs from architects rsquo; drawings to produce schedules of components. Support international business functions with technical and market pricing knowledge Produce detailed and accurate estimates suitable for each market. Manage workload and business priorities Support enquiries and ensure all relevant information has been presented Understand manufacturing methods and costs. The successful Project Engineer will have the following skills / experience: Experience in a similar position / relevant qualification Ability to interpret either architectural or engineering drawings A good understanding of manufacturing. Experience in manging complex bids.
