Senior Associate/Assistant Manager - Tax Resolutions GBP30,000 - GBP45,000 Dependent on Experience + benefits Northampton, Office based, Monday - Friday - driving license is essential. Our client is a multiple award-winning, leading tax consultancy practice based out of stunning offices in Northampton. They support clients with tax saving service offerings, and they #39;ve been recognised as the fastest growing tax consultancy firm in the UK and Ireland. They #39;re looking for a Tax Resolutions Senior Associate/Assistant Manager to support the firm #39;s continued growth across the UK. You will be investigating tax disputes and working with clients to challenge the dispute with HMRC. The end goal is to have the decision overturned. A background or interest in taxation, accountancy, or legal services (full or part qualified) is beneficial, but this could also be a good opportunity for a graduate, or someone who has worked within research and development. What will you be doing: Ensure all client files are kept up to date in Salesforce. Review and respond to HMRC (letter writing) Organise and attend client calls to discuss each Tax dispute. Investigations - carrying out thorough investigation of each dispute, looking for a solution and angle to challenge the dispute with HMRC. Report writing. Communications and debriefs with delivery team and wider team members. Keep abreast of compliance and legislation. Travel within the UK to see clients, on occasion! What are we looking for? A background in Tax, Accountancy, Legal and/or R D. Excellent communication skills - written and verbal. Attention to detail. Interest in a range of business sectors. Comfortable working with people at all levels within the organisation. Full UK driver #39;s license. Prior R D Tax Credit experience and understanding of the tax claim process is advantageous. Previous experience of HMRC enquiries or legal disputes is advantageous.
