NW 30299 Land Planning Manager GBP75,000 - GBP90,000 + Benefits Nationwide Alecto Recruitment is collaborating with a leading figure in the Anaerobic Digestion sector, seeking an experienced professional in planning renewable energy projects to join the Business Development Team in delivering greenfield and existing biomethane projects. Package: GBP75,000 - GBP90,000 basic salary Car Allowance Discretionary Bonus Attractive pension scheme Key Accountabilities: Develop and implement comprehensive planning strategies for projects across the business, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated from project inception to execution. Ensure timely determination of applications and manage the selection and oversight of external planning and specialist consultants. Serve as the primary contact for third-party agents, providing necessary documents such as drawings and feedstock types. Collaborate with internal and external project teams to facilitate community consultation events, and build relationships with local planning authorities, the planning inspectorate, and other key stakeholders. Ensure that all consented projects meet necessary conditions at appropriate milestones, managing any variations required during the build process and beyond. Conduct site visits and meetings with key stakeholders, landowners, and agents, upholding client values to build trust and secure planning consents. Lead and support lease negotiations with landowners and agents, working closely with internal Business Development and Legal teams to ensure leases comply with planning and EA permit requirements. Coordinate with internal operational teams to ensure they understand and comply with all relevant planning conditions. Engage planning lawyers for advice on legal matters as necessary. Knowledge and Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in planning and development projects with UK local authorities, particularly in renewable energy/ Anaerobic Digestion/ Biomethane or infrastructure sectors. Comprehensive knowledge of the UK planning system, including relevant laws, regulations, and procedures. Stakeholder Management: adept at effectively managing multiple internal and external stakeholders. Project Management: experience managing several projects at different stages of development. Leadership: proven leadership qualities with a track record of successfully leading diverse professional teams. Presentation: skilled in distilling complex information into clear, concise presentations for senior stakeholders. Report Writing: extensive experience in producing high-quality reports. Degree level in relevant discipline Member or working towards being a member of Royal Town Planning Institute Extensive experience in planning (5+ years) with focus on renewable energy projects within UK Experience managing multiple consultants.
