Quality engineer

An evolving manufacturer who supplies components to the automotive manufacturing industry require a Quality Engineer to monitor, test and report on the quality of products. The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge of quality best practices preferably with a background in automotive manufacturing. Commutable from: Nuneaton, Hinckley, Loughborough, Tamworth, Rugby, Coventry Package: GBP43,000 - GBP45,000 p.a. +Health Cash Plan +Pension Suitable for: Quality Assurance Engineer, Quality Engineer, APQP Engineer, PPAP Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer The Role Reporting into the Quality Manager you will have the following duties: -Inspection of raw materials, component and final products. -Monitoring testing and reporting on the quality of products. -Liaise with suppliers and customers to ensure customer requirements are met. -Using quality tools such as 8D to be get to the route cause of a problem. -Assist in new product introduction. The Person Educated to HNC, degree level or qualified in CQI you will have the following experience: -Previous experience in automotive manufacturing. -Knowledge of IATF 16949 automotive industry standards. -An understanding of APQP is desirable and 8D experience is essential. -Experience dealing directly with customers and suppliers is essential.
