Controls manager

We are currently seeking a Controls Engineer Manager for one of our client based in Nottinghamshire. My client is part of Intralogistics Group is one of the leading suppliers of automated conveying and material handling systems and is now over 70 years old that develop tailor-made solutions - from concept through to complete implementation - in the areas of unit load conveying, sorting technology, automated storage and retrieval systems, including controls, warehouse management systems and IT integration. Purpose of the role: bull; Managing the Controls Department by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures. bull; Achieves electrical engineering operational objectives by contributing electrical engineering information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining administrative system improvements; implementing change. bull; Develops strategic electrical plans by studying operational plans; studying existing conditions; determining needs to accomplish operational plans; mapping solutions; updating and modifying requirements and solutions; preparing cost estimates and budgets. bull; Plans electrical projects by determining specifications; selecting contractors; establishing installation schedules; planning shut downs and installations; integrating requirements with architectural and mechanical designs; verifying code requirements; updating cost estimates. bull; Maintains electrical systems by establishing and enforcing preventive and ongoing maintenance, and testing programs; scheduling repairs; coordinating shutdowns and installations. Key Responsibilities: bull; Achieve electrical engineering operational objectives by contributing electrical engineering information and recommendations to strategic plans. bull; Ensure completion of electrical projects by supervising installation and resolving design issues. bull; Manage staff performance to ensure the running of an effective and efficient Controls Department. bull; Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with codes and legal regulations.
