Criminal Litigation Assistant Location: Birmingham Salary: GBP(phone number removed) BCR/OO/10961 FULL-TIME IN OFFICE Bell Cornwall Recruitment are pleased to be hiring for a Criminal Litigation Assistant. Our client are a leading national litigation firm ranked in the highest tier of law firms by the Legal 500 and Chambers UK. They are looking for a professional and experienced Criminal Litigation Assistant to join their dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Drafting documents such as letters, defence statements and formal documents Attending client and counsel conferences Preparing and reviewing disclosure requests Training to become an accredited police station representative to advise clients in the police station as needed Working closely with the counsel to prepare instructions and briefs Documenting court bundles and trial notes Attending court hearings including jury trials Researching and drafting articles for publication The successful candidate: Excellent academic law qualifications-2.1 degree and above LPC BPTC qualification Expert knowledge of the Criminal procedure rules Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Great time-management and prioritisation skills Great IT skills to manage internal systems and online legal research tools Excellent written skills to draft detailed legal notes and arguments Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to work well independently and within a team A proactive can do attitude with forward thinking A willingness and desire to learn and gain self-improvement.
