Children 39;s support worker

Our focus is on fostering a sense of belonging, safety, and personal growth for every child under our care. Our client are seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the lives of the children residing in our home, providing them with the support and guidance they need to thrive. Responsibilities: Establishing rapport and building positive relationships with the children in our care. Providing emotional support and encouragement to children facing various challenges. Assisting with daily activities, including meals, hygiene routines, and recreational activities. Implementing structured routines and activities to promote the social, emotional, and cognitive development of the children. Collaborating with other staff members and professionals to ensure the holistic well-being of each child. Maintaining accurate records of observations, incidents, and progress. Upholding the values and policies of the children #39;s home at all times. Ensuring the safety and security of the children within the home environment. Requirements: Previous experience working with children and/or young people, preferably in a residential care setting is desirable but not essential A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children from diverse backgrounds. A positive attitude and strength of character. Resilience and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations. A flexible approach to work, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
