Design Engineer Up to GBP30,000 salary, GL12, 28 rising to 33 days holiday with service, pension, parking, bonus, Monday to Thursday 7-4, Friday 7-12, 39 hour week, Permanent role Opportunity to join a friendly and stable manufacturing company in the South Gloucestershire area as a trainee draughtsperson, design engineer working on the companies #39; products. This role reports to the design manager. The trainee draughtsperson, design engineer involves The modification and design of equipment using Solidworks Design of new products components, jigs fixtures and related materials Attend meetings and occasionally visit customers #39; sites to carry out related design duties Working in a small team environment with the ability to use your initiative to complete tasks on your own once you have been trained. Update records on the ParaCAD system DAR - maintain and control the change record system The trainee draughtsperson, design engineer skills and background A work history in skilled CNC machining or similar engineering environment either with some knowledge of, or open to train on Solidworks Any engineering or mechanical engineering apprenticeship combined with engineering qualifications would be a great fit for this role. Candidates with time served transferable engineering and machining knowledge could also be of interest.
