The positions are for 30-37.5 hours per week, with flexible days and working hours. You will be working as a qualified Surgical First Assistant so you must be fully qualified. Duties and responsibilities: To be responsible for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team, taking on the role of Surgical First Assistant. You will provide continuous competent and dedicated assistance under the direct supervision of the operating surgeon throughout the procedure and be responsible for the management of the equipment, instrumentation, and standards within the designated specialty and the role. To act as a scrub nurse when SFA role if not required. Essential: The right candidate will have an NMC/HCPC pin, be qualified as a Surgical First Assistant and have experience assisting surgeons. You should be open to take on some leadership responsibilities as you will be a higher-level practitioner who may have to help guide junior members of the team.
