Maintenance operative group

We are currently recruiting for an individual to join our fantastic maintenance team to work together in maintaining our 9 depot locations. The Hartshorne Group is one of the leading commercial vehicle distributors for the West Midlands, East Midlands, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire. We provide full parts service facilities for Volvo Truck Bus as well as new and used sales, plus a diverse range of associated services. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the role will cover: bull; General building maintenance including basic plumbing, decorating, painting and DIY repairs. bull; Undertake light installation and carpentry i.e. assembling furniture, cabinets, shelves, notice boards, replacing locks and door handles. bull; Carry out and assist with depot planned preventative maintenance tasks. bull; General fitting of appliances and repair of existing equipment. bull; Clearing or cleaning out general areas. bull; Basic brick and concrete works. Requirements bull; Previous maintenance experience or trades background would be preferred however full training will be provided. bull; Able to work as part of a team. bull; Experience of operating hand and power tools (own tools required). bull; Pro-active in approach and with great attention to detail. bull; Valid CSCS card preferred but not essential. bull; An ability to follow instruction. bull; A responsible approach to health and safety regulations. bull; IOSH Certificate or other relevant safety training preferable, although formal training can be provided. bull; Full driving licence, as travel to all depot sites will be required. Company van is provided for business use only. Hours Monday to Friday 08.30am - 17.00pm (however flexibility is required) Benefits Excellent in house product training programme.
