Data centre technician days

My client, a leading global provider of facilities and real estate management are looking for a Data Centre Shift Technician to join the team based in Slough. The role is working Day shifts, Monday - Friday 8-5pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for control and supervision of work tasks for planned and reactive maintenance with support from the building engineering Supervisor and day team. You will also be liaising with Engineering management to ensure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with site policies. Role Summary bull; Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment bull; Respond to Building Management System alarms bull; Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems. bull; Ensure required switching schedules, SOPs and EOPs are created and utilised bull; Ensure that Evaporative Cooling Systems and domestic water systems are maintained to comply with L8 standard bull; Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of REALM task sheets bull; Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared bull; Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained bull; Ensuring work packs include required documentation including review of Subcontractor RAMS Experience / Qualifications: bull; Manual Handling Training would be an advantage bull; HV Authorisation Desirable bull; Current Wiring Regulations certificate bull; Level 3 NVQ in associated discipline bull; Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification bull; Experienced in real time incident / fault management in a business-critical environment bull; Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a similar organisation bull; Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations with regards to maintenance activities bull; Show diligence in safe working both for themselves and occupants of the premises bull; Self-motivated, with a high level of personal integrity bull; Organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high-pressure environments bull; Courteous and presentable as the role is both front and back of house, with exposure to the client at all levels bull; Able to ascend and descend vertical access equipment bull; PASMA IPAF Preferred bull; Knowledge of multiple interlinked systems (Fire, PMS BMS) If you would like to apply or find out more information, please contact me directly
