Electrical design engineer

Location: Burgess Hill, United Kingdom Position Type: Full-time Experience Level: Senior (4+ years of experience) Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a client we are collaborating with in Burgess Hill. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, demonstrating a strong background in designing control systems, panel design, and instrumentation for commercial and residential projects. Key Responsibilities: * Design and develop electrical control panels and systems using industry-standard software such as Solidworks Electrical and AutoCAD Electrical. * Create detailed schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and layout designs. * Specify and select components to ensure the highest quality and efficiency. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met. * Conduct thorough risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. * Maintain up-to-date documentation and records for all design projects. Key Requirements: * Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering. * Proficiency in Solidworks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, and other relevant design software. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Education: * Preferably a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred. * Relevant certifications and professional qualifications will be advantageous.
