Year 1 2 teaching assistant

Zest Education are working with a wonderful school in Telford who are looking for a teaching assistant to join their team working in a mixed year 1 and 2 class from September 2024 until at the end of the academic year. The school are looking for a candidate who is able to work full time during this period from Monday to Friday. As a Year 1/2 Teaching Assistant at the wonderful school in Telford, your responsibilities will include supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, providing one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will also be responsible for assisting with classroom management, preparing resources, and supervising students during activities and break times. To excel in this role, you should have a passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents. Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is desirable, as well as a relevant qualification in education or childcare. Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
