Science teacher

Position: Science Teacher * Location: West Yorkshire ndash; Leeds, * Start: September 2024 Science Teachers play a vital role in the provision of high-quality science teaching in schools, from looking after laboratory equipment to helping pupils achieve their potential with one-to-one support. We have a variety of requirements to cover short term and long-term needs for our client schools across West Yorkshire. The roles are generally term time only Mon-Fri 8am-4pm. Science Teacher Tasks include: * maintaining equipment * constructing and modifying apparatus * setting up experiments * taking an active part in laboratory demonstrations * ordering resources and keeping budgets * helping in practical classes * giving technical help to pupils and students * always meeting current health and safety standards The successful Science Teacher candidate will have: * Right to work in the UK * Experience of working in a Teacher role * GCSE in English, Maths and Science subject at grade C or above, or equivalent * Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures * Experience in handling different laboratory equipment, including chemicals * A good working knowledge of laboratory equipment and apparatus used in science * An up-to-date DBS that is on the DBS Update Service (or be willing to undertake a new one) * Proof of Safeguarding at a minimum of Level 1 (or be willing to undergo online training) Provide Education Science Teacher perks benefits: * Dedicated and specialist consultants committed to supporting you * CCS Framework provider * Pay to scale * GBP100 refer a friend scheme Provide Education is a leading education recruitment agency placing Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Cover Supervisors, HLTAs and Nursery Nurses into Schools and Nurseries across Yorkshire and the East Midlands.
