If you are a skilled trades-person or lsquo;handy person rsquo; with knowledge of Health Safety standards and experience of managing a team and external contractors to ensure a safe and functioning environment, then join the team at The Lakefields Neurological Centre in Chigwell as a Facilities Manager, As a valued member of the team, and with a team of your own, you will turn your hand to all maintenance-related tasks, liaise with contractors and be responsible for ensuring the service rsquo;s facilities are fit for purpose. This includes conducting regular audits. As a Facilities Manager at The Lakefields, you will be working 37.5 hour per week, with some on-call duties required, and will have access to a range of training opportunities that can see your career grow to help you achieve your career aspirations. Your Responsibilities include: Organising and implement a planned preventative maintenance schedule to optimise standards and performance of hospital plant, equipment, buildings, and grounds. Participating in all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance on buildings structure and fittings. Ensuring adequate records of the planned maintenance and test results, e.g. Equipment logs, service certification, fire alarm logs. Maintaining safe working practices when operating hand, power and workshop tools. Ensuring that all electrical equipment is tested (PAT) in line with legislation. To be successful in this role, you will need: Experience within a similar role General building trade experience To be able paint and decorate. Basic numeracy and literacy Where you will be working Lakefields Neurological Centre will be a 22-bed service that delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise their functional ability and improve their quality of life. The Centre specialises in neuro-rehabilitation, tracheostomy and ventilator care. Bedrooms are adapted to individual requirements, fitted with high dependency equipment including ceiling track hoists, wall mounted suction and oxygen equipment. There are also well-equipped therapy facilities, spacious lounge areas and wheelchair access to beautiful gardens.
