Sales manager

Sales Manager / Business Development Manager is required to join a manufacturer of materials handling and lean manufacturing modular solutions. You rsquo;ll work from home, covering from the Midlands upwards to Scotland, therefore you must be based in this area. The Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will be responsible for new business development across the UK and managing a team of 2 Sales Engineers who are based in Derby and Manchester. The Sales Manager / Business Development Manager will have knowledge of lean manufacturing solutions/principles ndash; experience selling industrial racking, engineering workstations, assembly cells, bespoke engineering, and workspace solutions into engineering manufacturing environments would be advantageous. Package Salary up to GBP50,000 GBP24k PA commission Bonus Share Scheme Car Allowance 5% pension Responsibilities Include: Develop existing customers and win new business from new customers within the automotive, aerospace, electronics, engineering manufacture, medical equipment industries. Selling lean manufacturing solutions, including selling industrial racking, engineering workstations, assembly cells, bespoke engineering, and workspace solutions into engineering manufacturing environments would be advantageous Manage the activities of 2 technical sales engineers reporting directly to you. Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs. Use CRM system and market knowledge to evaluate potential target customers Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships. Regular contact and joint visits to customers with field sales team. Research and build relationships with new clients. Home based, you will be travelling across the Midlands North of England to follow up on leads, design, cost and prepare technical quotations.Requirements Include: Experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Technical Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Regional Sales Manager, or similar. Will ideally have experience of lean manufacturing and kaizen principles in manufacturing and assembly operations, (e.g., automotive, aerospace, electronics, engineering manufacture, medical equipment, etc.) is essential. Knowledge of industrial racking, engineering workstations, assembly cells, bespoke engineering, and workspace solutions would be advantageous Sales team management experience would be beneficial Based anywhere in the Midlands or North of the UK Full UK Driving License
