Senior HSE Manager Location: Exeter (with travel across the South-West) Salary: GBP70,000 - GBP80,000 Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Flexible working hours available) Company Overview: Our client is a renowned food manufacturing business located near Newton Abbot, known for their commitment to quality and innovation in the food industry. They are seeking a Senior HSE Manager to play a pivotal role in the growth of the company and the development of their Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) strategy. Role Overview: As the Senior HSE Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the HSE function within the company. You will develop and implement HSE strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Your role is crucial in safeguarding the wellbeing of employees and the sustainability of the company #39;s operations. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards. Lead the HSE team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective HSE management. Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks. Oversee incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented. Monitor and report on HSE performance, using data to drive continuous improvement. Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organisation. Collaborate with other departments to integrate HSE considerations into all aspects of the business. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE best practices and regulatory changes. Liaise with external regulatory bodies and represent the company in HSE matters.Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience in a senior HSE role within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry. NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) qualification is essential. Environmental qualification is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
