Logistics Coordinator Salary Benefits * Up to GBP26,000 per annum * Monday-Friday (40 hours per week) * Flexible start/finish times * Join a small, friendly supportive team * 22 days holiday + Bank holidays * On site parking Our client based in Basingstoke are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join their small friendly supportive team on a 1-year fixed term contract covering maternity leave. This position will suit someone with experience working within logistics, stock control and/or international trade. This is a varied fast paced position, you will need to be commercially aware and confident in dealing with third party suppliers and not afraid to be persistent where necessary. Duties: * You will monitor and track all shipments of products that we receive from our parent company in Peru and other suppliers for import into Europe. * You will coordinate import procedures with freight forwarders for the smooth clearance of shipments into European markets and liaise with transport companies and warehouses for the safe onward transfer of goods. * Checking and approving all paperwork associated with the import of goods, including invoicing and shipping documents. * You will be responsible for accurately inputting the details of every shipment into our ERP system, recording and updating stock including pack types, sizes and pricing. * You will use your excellent customer service skills to make sure the business maintains good customer and supplier relations. The successful person will ideally have the following: * Ideally you will have worked in a logistics, stock control and/or international trade field. * Ideally you are proficient in both written and spoken Spanish, but this is not essential. * You will have a high attention to detail and be commercially aware and confident in dealing with third party suppliers and not afraid to be persistent where necessary. * You will be comfortable reacting quickly under time pressures that are unique to the fresh produce industry and have the desire and ability to take on new responsibilities and embrace new challenges. * You will be used to making decisions independently and using your own initiative to ensure that problems are resolved as they occur. * A competent user of Microsoft packages and with good numerical and literacy skills.
