Transport planner

Working with DHL, the world #39;s leading logistics provider you will be working as part of a team that provides transport services worldwide. You will also be responsible for contacting customers and transport suppliers to ensure shipments are collected and delivered on time. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity via Rapier Employment working the AFTERNOON shift. Duties include: Coordinating transport solutions for clients Load schedule planning Forecasting data to manage future transport solutions Engaging with subcontractors and third party suppliers Providing accurate shipment information Managing return loads Escalation of issues to senior management Creating tax and duty payment information Spot pricing for ad-hoc shipments TRAINING PROVIDED Experience/Skills Required: 5 years check-able employment/education history DBS check required Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Computer literate Transport/Logistics experience is strongly preferred but will consider other candidates with an exceptional attitude.
