History teacher

Historians of Kent, I have a great opportunity for you! A fantastic Secondary School in the Dover area are looking for a Fully Qualified teacher of History to join their team in September 2024. The school will also consider Early Career Teachers providing all other criteria is met. The school are searching for a history teacher to work a full-time schedule which will entail working 5 days a week and will also include planning and marking. Previous experience of teaching history is valuable; however, early career teachers will also be considered. Successful candidates will be teaching history to KS3, 4 and 5 students and will be expected to have excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum. The school itself have received consistently lsquo;Good rsquo; Ofsted ratings and are pushing to change those ratings to lsquo;Outstanding rsquo;. They have an excellent culture at the school, especially within the History department, planning numerous trips throughout the school year. They are looking for someone who can embrace this culture and is happy to involve themselves in the various trips and activities that the school provide. We are looking for someone who: bull; Has recent experience teaching History. bull; Holds a relevant degree. bull; Has excellent knowledge of the KS3, KS4 and KS5 British National Curriculum. bull; Can promote cultural development. bull; Has great communication and lesson delivery skills. bull; Can prepare and plan lessons in advance.
