Duties Responsibilities of a Contracts Manager: Leading and managing a team of Project Managers and Site Managers, ensuring effective project execution and adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborating closely with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction. Overseeing contract negotiations and administration, managing risk and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. Monitoring project progress, conducting regular site visits, and addressing any issues or challenges promptly. Managing project finances, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting. Implementing effective project management methodologies and best practices to optimize project performance and efficiency. Providing leadership and guidance to the project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture. Desirable Experience Qualification of a Contracts Manager: Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within a main contracting environment. Strong knowledge of construction industry practices, contracts, and relevant regulations. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams. Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders. Sound financial acumen, with experience in project budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field are desirable but not essential.
