Air conditioning breakdown and installation manager

We are recruiting for an Air Conditioning Breakdown and Installation Manager for our Customer, an Air Conditioning Company based in Welwyn Garden City AL7 1GX Job Description To undertake specific projects both commercial and domestic from inception through design, tender, installation and commissioning to final handover within agreed programmes Supervise Breakdown Co-ordinator Engineers and provide technical advice and assistance when required Provide cover for Breakdown Co-ordinator and Maintenance Manager Supervise design and installation work and programme Supervise employees and sub-contractors on site with regard to standard of work, conduct and time keeping Procurement of materials for projects Client liaison Maintain project budget information and provide reports Check commissioning certificates Provide client quotations Provide technical advice to employees, sub-contractors and clients Carry out initial site surveys Ensure Health Safety requirements are met on all projects including provision of Method Statements Risk Assessments Qualifications: City Guilds 2079 F Gas City Guilds NVQ Level 2/3 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Experience: Experience of design, estimating and contract management for both commercial and domestic new build and refurbishment projects Experience of managing breakdowns/call outs/service maintenance Experience of managing projects and delivering against contracted targets with a keen aptitude for efficient procurement Experience of managing staff including sub-contractors Experience of carrying out risk assessments and managing safety at work Skills: Excellent inter-personal skills; able to influence, persuade and negotiate with all levels of people effectively Ability to cope under pressure and ensure deadlines are met Strong attention to detail Good organisation skills Demonstrate self-motivation and initiative to get to the heart of a problem and take it through to completion Background in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems, Word and Excel Salary c.GBP45k depending on experience Car for work use only
