Maintenance engineer

The Recruitment Crowd are working with a multi award-winning, independent, leading manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Leeds City Centre. Due to success growth they are looking to add an additional Maintenance Engineer to their team on days covering the site rsquo;s production machinery equipment. Main Duties; list not exhaustive * Deal with machine breakdowns to ensure that the site can maximize throughput and meet customer demand. * Reactive, proactive and planned maintenance across a wide range of factory equipment to support plant uptime. * Maintaining site services and facilities. * Focuses on saving cost on maintenance work and contributes to cost reduction initiatives. Skills, Experience Qualifications * NVQ3 engineering or equivalent * Strong practical and legal knowledge of Mechanical engineering/maintenance * Previous experience working within a Manufacturing and Production environment. * Knowledge of packaging / labelling machines is advantageous but not essential. * Maintenance to improve machine condition, improve product quality and reduce downtime. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels. * Good oral and written communication skills. * Welding qualification/experience would be an advantage * Able to read engineering drawings.
