Drylining quantity surveyor

Company We are currently working with an industry multi disciplinary sub contractor who are market leaders, based up north with a London presence, working on major drylining projects in Central London. They are actively on the market seeking an ambitious, driven and dynamic Quantity Surveyor to want to join a new team with a pathway to succeed and get their own career progression. They work on luxury residential and a variety of iconic landmark projects. Job Description We are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of their projects, reporting to a Commercial Lead ensuring the successful delivery of high-profile developments. Responsibilities: - Provide commercial and contractual expertise on Drylining packages on luxury residential and iconic landmark projects, including cost planning, procurement, and contract administration. - Prepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow projections, identifying potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities. - Oversee the procurement process, including subcontractor selection, negotiation, and award of contracts, while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. - Conduct thorough cost analysis and provide accurate and timely cost reports to project stakeholders, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions as necessary. - Collaborate closely with the project team to mitigate commercial risks, resolve disputes, and ensure contractual obligations are met. - Manage and mentor junior members of the quantity surveying team, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional development. - Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, representing the company professionally and promoting a collaborative working environment. Requirements: - Bachelor #39;s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. RICS or CIOB accreditation is highly desirable. - Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the drylining industry ideally with experience on luxury residential developments and iconic landmark projects. - Strong commercial acumen and a detailed understanding of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management principles. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels. - Proficiency in industry-standard quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite. - A proactive and solution-focused mindset, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. - Chartered status with the RICS or CIOB is advantageous.
