Mechanical design engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Rate of pay (LTD): GBP25 - GBP35 per hour Location: Huddersfield Hours of work: 8.00-4.30 Monday ndash; Thursday 8am -1pm on a Friday THIS IS A SELF EMPLOYED ROLE Job Description: 1. Develop 3D plant layout/general arrangement of a full scale PSA plant. This is to include vessels, pipework, valves, instrumentation, platforms, staircases and access ladders 2. Develop of 3D plant layout/general arrangement drawings to allow fabrication and build of a trial PSA plant Requirements: bull; Be capable of innovating in the design process to develop working plant designs bull; Provide accurate, detailed and dimensioned drawings bull; Production of cross sectional drawings as appropriate bull; Be proficient in the use of Solidworks for 3D designs bull; Ensure drawings are compliant with industry and health and safety standards and protocols bull; Present working drawings for use in all stages of the project, tender, manufacture/construction and installation bull; Have good working knowledge of laying out pipework and valves bull; Have been involved in the design of large vessels similar to silos bull; Have at least 5 years experience in developing plant layouts bull; Must be self-motivating and able to demonstrate an ability to work off own initiative bull; Have a good working knowledge of practical working aspects of mechanical design bull;Have strong problem solving skills
