The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Warrington area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team. Hours: Days, afternoons or nights. Pay Rate: Days: GBP13.50 / Afternoons: GBP14.00 / Nights: GBP14.50 per hour PAYE. Location: Warrington, WA5. Job Type: Ongoing position. The role: middot; Safely and efficiently operate Class 1 vehicles to transport parcels from depot to depot across the UK. middot; Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards. middot; Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road. middot; Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. middot; Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Requirements: middot; Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E). middot; Minimum of 2 years on a Class 1 licence. middot; At least 28 days of work on the tachograph within the last 3 months. middot; Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. middot; No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). middot; Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is two questionnaires based on drivers #39; hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test. middot; Full understanding of WTD legislation. middot; Excellent communication skills. middot; A safety-first mindset.
