Science teacher

Science Teacher - Glossop Prospero Teaching are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Science Teacher to work at a #39;Good #39; religious academy secondary school near Glossop. This role will be full time, will initially be temporary but will become permanent for the right person. The role will start ASAP. You will be required to become fully involved within the department school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents #39; evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. In a department with well sequenced learning, with clear links to their learning. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way. The pupils are proud of their school and show kindness and respect to each other, with a strong understanding that the staff do care about their wellbeing. The leadership has high expectations which are met by the students, resulting in a calm and orderly school environment. Classroom routines are well established and backed up by a strong reward system that the students enjoy. There is also a strong community feeling in the school: with outreach to a local care home, donation of money to local projects and charity further afield. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location - Glossop Position - Science Teacher Type of work - Teaching Start date - September 2024 Likely Duration - ongoing Contract type - Temporary Full time Minimum rate of pay - from GBP153.85 per day Hours - 8:30am - 4pm EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: Degree educated with a good classification Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training) Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training) Up to date behaviour management FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
