Accounts assistant manager

Job Specification: Accounts Assistant Manager I am representing a fabulous firm of accountants in the Halesowen/Bromsgrove area who are looking to add an experienced Accounts Assistant Manager to their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional who is ready to take a step into management while continuing to perform hands-on accounting tasks from start to finish. Key Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the directors and collaborating closely with senior management. Preparing accounts from start to finish for a diverse portfolio of clients. Providing mentorship and support to junior members of staff, ensuring their development and performance align with the firm rsquo;s standards. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and practices. Utilizing accounting software systems such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and IRIS effectively to manage client accounts. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and tax computations. Participating in client meetings to provide financial insights and advice. Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal processes and systems. Requirements Requirements: Fully qualified or nearing completion of ACCA or CIMA. A strong background in practice accounting is essential. Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and IRIS. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Ideal Candidate: Has demonstrated experience in a similar role within an accounting practice. Exhibits leadership qualities and is eager to step into a managerial role. Is detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in their work. Is committed to professional development and staying up-to-date with industry changes.
